What data we have, who we are and how we use your data.

The data we hold is only what you have provided for the fulfillment of your music purchase. We do not capture or retain any financial data as that is all handled by PayPal. The shopping cart does pass along to Paypal your name and address so that it can complete the money side of things and so we can buy postage, print a label etc.

So who are we?  Well, at the moment it’s just yours truly Robin Schell as self-appointed webmaster and John Beagley musical collaborator and the two of us also head up the shipping department and sweep the floors in the evenings when everyone leaves the website. I stay behind and do the paperwork (and it gets gosh darn quiet in here at nights lemme tellya).

But seriously, there’s not a lot to tell, we have the minimum amount of data to do the money thing and post the CDs. The rest of the time your data sits in a database here and collects dust, it never leaves. We don’t share data with anyone. We will keep your data as long as there appears to be a continuing interest in our music and if it will make future purchases more convenient.

We make the bold assumption that if you like our music you’re happy to hear from us if we have something new out. Most likely you’ll hear on Facebook in any case.

If you’re in the EU the new GDPR rules say you have the ‘right to be forgotten’ if you wish. You can let us know you want to be forgotten and we will delete all your data. (but why would you want to do such a thing? it’s OK, we won’t ask any questions, ‘mums the word’, you can count on us ) …mum… whatever.

Anyweeeee, what else, Paypal stores your transaction data but your financial details are not visible to us and we have no control over Paypal. But, Paypal is OK right?  ‘Big company, very professional, my guess is they’re pretty safe.

So in summary, basically we only have the info you gave us, we don’t share it (except with Paypal for the money stuff), we don’t spam, we don’t drink excessively, all in all we’re gosh darn responsible. If you’re on John’s email list it’s because you requested to be on there, so you have given specific consent as a legal basis.

But… ya know, if you ever want to be forgotten… just let us know. Otherwise we will keep your data till the end of time (and beyond if I have anything to do with it – but safe mind you, always safe!)
